Omega is one of our favorite brands here at Father Time Antiques. So, we were delighted to discover this unusual Omega from Canada. We have only seen one other in our 38 plus years in the business and this one is in great condition. This Omega sports a very rare "Zodiac" dial that exhibits a very interesting pattern of the Zodiac Symbols at all the chapters with two inner chapter rings that display the constellations (in red) and the logo symbols for all the signs just inside the red ring. It is signed on the dial, the case and the movement.
The yellow gold Dauphine hands look great, as does the seconds bit, with a blued steel hand, at the 6 o'clock position. The case is stainless steel that measures 37mm wide by 47mm lug to lug, by 10mm thick. Our head watchmaker has the 15 jewel, 30T2 movement winding, setting, and keeping time just as it did back in 1944 when it was made in Switzerland.
