FAQ: How do you price your watches?

Our prices may be slightly higher than other watches you may find on the Internet, but this is due to our exhaustive restoration process. When one of our master watchmakers finishes with the restoration of an individual piece it is timed to within factory specs, or better, in all original, rated positions, for that particular timepiece. We use only original parts, the case is polished to the best finish we can attain, the crystal is blemish free, worn crowns are replaced, telescopic pins are replaced, the balance wheel is poised, the cannon pinion tightened, the escapement is adjusted, the train pivots are burnished, the watch is put in-beat, worn stems are replaced, mainsprings are replaced, etc. In short, every watch we sell is fully restored and bench tested before we ship it to you. We also warranty our watches for one full year without an extra charge that some other dealers demand. Included in our price is a good quality watch band at no extra charge. 

How to Order from Father Time Antiques

How to Order: 

Please phone (773-880-5599) or email us (fta@sbcglobal.net) to check the availability of a particular piece. Please use the inventory number at the end of the description and provide a brief description for clarity. Father Time Antiques is open from 12p.m. until 5p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, Central Standard Time and has an answering machine to recieve your calls at all other times. We will honor the order in which calls are recieved. Leave your name, telephone number, the time of day that you called, which timepiece you are interested in, and we will return your call asap.

Payment:

For purchases within the United States we will accept Visa, MasterCard, or American Express, Personal Checks, Cashiers' Checks, or PayPal with a confirmed address. There is a ten day hold on merchandise paid for by personal check. International Orders may be paid for only by PayPal to a confirmed address and are shipped by Express Mail.

Shipping:

We ship by UPS Second Day Air, Ups Next Day, Fed Ex Next Day, Registered Mail, and Express Mail. Shipments are promptly expedited when payment has been verified.

Warranty:

Remember all our watches are fully restored and warrantied for a full year and as a further guarantee of your satisfaction Father Time offers a three day return privelege on all our watches purchased on the internet. All in-store sales are final. If you are not completely satisfied for any reason, notify us by phone within the three day period, and we will refund your purchase price (less a 10% restocking fee) upon receipt of the watch at our store in the same condition as when it was shipped to you. You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping, insurance and packaging of the watch in the same carton and packing material that was sent to you.
